Can renewable energy be produced by something beautiful? This project was created for an art + architecture contest in Denmark. The requirement was to design a renewable energy generator. As renewable energy can be beautiful, this idea was inspired by the waves from the water and the wind movement. That is why we named it “WEOLIC”. The name is composed by the words “Wave” + “We” + “Eolic” in order to include Copenhagen’s community, since the energy can be used by everybody. The project goal is also to increase tourism as it can become this green city’s second icon. This project was created by Letizia Balzi (visual artist), Eleonora Marino (architect) and Federico Marino (engineer).
